Apuntes para una formalización semio-narrativa del discurso (del) fútbol

Deliberadamente he querido hacer en el artículo que a continuación presento una escritura que convoque a una lectura fluida, sin desvíos explicativos, sin cortes para las consabidas notas a pie de página. Creo que el lector, medianamente enterado en semiótica generativa, percibirá con claridad en los cimientos lógicos y en la arquitectura discursiva de esta disquisición –cual garante de su fluidez– el modelo del recorrido generativo sustentado y condensado por A.J. Greimas y J. Courtés en Semiótica. Diccionario razonado de la teoría del lenguaje. (Madrid: Gredos. Tomo I, 1982; tomo II, 1991). En torno a esta obra se constela toda una serie de trabajos cuyo referente, de un modo u otro, es el simulacro teórico siempre incompleto y sugestivo de la llamada Escuela de París. Este conjunto de textos opera, pues, como sobredeterminación conceptual de mi escritura.
Por otro lado, he querido escribir meditando y conversando con la propuesta crítica y analítica de Vicente Verdú presentada en El fútbol. Mitos, ritos y símbolos (Madrid: Alianza Editorial, 1980). Este ensayo, particularmente inspirado y, por lo mismo, motivador, lúdico y esclarecedor, ha dejado su impronta en muchos pasajes de este artículo.
