El propósito de este artículo es analizar la comunicación computarizada y saber si está ayudando a una mejor comunicación en las organizaciones. Para ello, primero habrá que definir lo que entendemos por comunicación computarizada. Segundo, describir el impacto de la comunicación computarizada en las organizaciones desde una perspectiva empírica y desde una filosófica. En tercer lugar, presentar algunas de las perspectivas teóricas que tratan de explicar el proceso de adopción y uso de la comunicación computarizada en las organizaciones. Cuarto, analizar las corrientes teóricas e investigativas que han guiado la investigación sobre la comunicación computarizada en las organizaciones. Quinto, revisar algunas consideraciones éticas sobre el uso de la comunicación computarizada en las organizaciones. Sexto, examinar algunos de los problemas que plantea la nueva tecnología de la comunicación en la realidad latinoamericana. Y finalmente, concluir formulando algunas conclusiones generales sobre la comunicación computarizada en las organizaciones.
