Use of technology to bring citizens to their polling place

Abstract

This article has shown the origin, development and achievements of the applicative Elige tu Local de Votación (Choose your Voting Location), an innovation developed by the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE, for its acronym in Spanish) between 2015-2016, as part of its technological modernization approach. It includes a review of how this software was managed internally, the offices at charge and the planning required. In addition, the way in which human resources were organized and the role of senior executive was emphasized. The article ends with a report of the benefits to citizens produced by this  innovation.
