El presente artículo tiene como propósito destacar el vínculo entre el trabajo científi co y la liberación individual en el proceso de la renovación de la ciencia y de las tecnologías del futuro dentro de la comunicación. Dicha premisa enfatiza en la importancia de la investigación en el campo de las ciencias de la comunicación en la era actual. Asimismo, se explica la evolución de la libertad en los procesos de interacción social y las innovadoras formas de comunicación. Para un entendimiento más amplio del tema, se hace una recopilación de los puntos más importantes sobre teorías comunicativas y una comparación de la realidad de los imaginarios sociales entre América Latina y España.
