Abstract

In recent years, virtual influencers have gained considerable popularity on social media. These characters, created using different technologies, usually including Artificial Intelligence (AI), aim to capture the attention of users on digital platforms and serve as support for brands. This contribution aims to help characterize the communication of human-like virtual influencers on Instagram through the study of the publications of the finalists of the Miss AI 2024 contest. It thus combines quantitative and qualitative techniques for the analysis of the images and texts published. The results show that human-like virtual influencers display a wide variety of styles, seeking to connect with audiences through diverse personalities that foster connection and perpetuate traditional aesthetic patterns.
