Derecho al olvido en Internet: Google y la doctrina europea

Este ensayo desarrolla parte de la problemática moral, social y legal que hay detrás de la justificación y la implementación del llamado derecho al olvido en Internet, según el cual, dadas ciertas circunstancias, los individuos pueden solicitar a un motor de búsqueda la eliminación de algunos enlaces asociados a sus nombres. Se reflexiona sobre el particular a partir de una sentencia emitida por el Tribunal de Justicia de la Unión Europea en mayo de 2014, así como de las recomendaciones del Grupo de Trabajo del artículo 29 sobre protección de datos, la práctica de Google y el informe de su consejo asesor.
