Efecto del mantenimiento autónomo y la eliminación de pérdidas en la sostenibilidad económica: un modelo SEM

Este estudio analiza cómo el mantenimiento autónomo (IAMA) fortalece la sostenibilidad económica (ECSU) en empresas manufactureras, considerando la eliminación de pérdidas (FELO) como eje del mantenimiento productivo total (TPM). El mantenimiento autónomo implica que los operarios participen en el cuidado básico de sus equipos para reducir fallas y tiempos muertos. Mediante un modelo de mínimos cuadrados parciales y ecuaciones estructurales (PLS-SEM) aplicado a 243 profesionales en Ciudad Juárez, México, se encontró que el IAMA reduce las pérdidas (β = 0,738, p < 0,01), lo que mejora la ECSU (β = 0,476, p < 0,01). Asimismo, presenta un efecto directo menor sobre ECSU (β = 0,179, p < 0,01) y un efecto indirecto relevante (β = 0,351). El modelo explica el 54 % de FELO y el 38 % de ECSU, lo que evidencia una capacidad explicativa adecuada y un ajuste global satisfactorio mediante el cual genera beneficios económicos.
