This study aimed to design an institutional management model based on the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) to integrate planning, monitoring, and performance evaluation in a private educational institution in the Colombian Caribbean region. The research addresses the problems associated with the absence of a formal strategic management system in this organizational context. A qualitative exploratory-descriptive approach was adopted through a single case study design, using document analysis, semi-structured interviews, and non-participant observation involving 30 institutional stakeholders. A complementary semi-quantitative analysis based on the frequency of mentions by BSC perspective was incorporated. The results revealed structural gaps across the four dimensions: internal processes (93,33%), customers (86,67%), learning and growth (83,33%), and financial (80,00%), with a mean of 25,75 mentions and a standard deviation of 1,71. The chi-square test χ²(3) = 0,34 (p = 0,952) indicated no statistically significant differences. As a result, a strategic institutional model was designed, consisting of fifteen strategic objectives supported by indicators and implementation initiatives, which enables the integration of planning, monitoring, and institutional performance evaluation, strengthening decision-making and continuous organizational improvement.
