Ethics in the age of transience and the crisis of universalisms

This article analyzes the state of certain ethical notions that have historically structured political understanding in an era like the present, where phenomena such as transience, fluidity, and the constant renewal of stimuli, characteristics of dominant technologies, challenge political action and adherence to its causes. The text demonstrates how we are witnessing social depoliticization produced by the elevation of the individual and their narcissistic discourses, which in turn reinforces a scenario devoid of relevant ideological affiliations, universal ideas, and connections with the external world and the other. It also proposes that the existence of this historical context is not accidental, but rather the intentional construction of a system of social numbness that serves the dominant economic and productive structures.
