Resumen

La presencia televisiva de figuras y narrativas LGBTQ+ ha aumentado notablemente durante las últimas décadas, particularmente en plataformas de streaming. Este artículo ofrece un análisis de cómo treinta jóvenes LGBTQ+ chilenos se relacionan con esta visibilidad. Mediante un análisis temático de entrevistas semiestructuradas, se examinan las formas en que los participantes interpretan los programas con contenido LGBTQ+ que consumen en plataformas de streaming y se evidencia que prefieren aquellas representaciones que no se centran en la identidad diversa o disidente, sino en otros elementos de las cotidianeidades LGBTQ+. Se argumenta que este tipo de figuras y narrativas puede impactar positivamente en el desarrollo identitario y bienestar de estas audiencias, al mostrar los dos mecanismos —reflexión sobre el pasado e imaginación de posibilidades futuras— mediante los cuales se establece este vínculo.
