El grit como motor empresarial: estudio bibliométrico y rutas de investigación emergentes

Resumen

Objetivo: este estudio analiza la evolución científica del concepto de grit, entendido como la combinación de pasión y perseverancia por metas de largo plazo, y su papel emergente como motor en los negocios. Se realiza una revisión bibliométrica para identificar tendencias, autores clave y líneas futuras de investigación. Metodología: se aplicó la metodología PRISMA para la selección sistemática de literatura en Scopus y se consideraron publicaciones entre el 2007 y el 2023. De 13 418 registros iniciales, se seleccionaron 944 documentos pertinentes tras aplicar filtros por año, área temática, idioma y relevancia. Se efectuó un análisis bibliométrico por país, institución, autor y revista, para lo cual se emplearon indicadores como el número de publicaciones y de citas, el índice H y el factor SJR, junto con un proceso de estandarización para comparar la influencia relativa de los principales actores. Resultados: Estados Unidos lidera la producción científica sobre grit, con la Universidad de Pensilvania y Angela Duckworth como referentes principales. Las revistas más influyentes son el Journal of Personality and Social Psychology y Frontiers in Psychology. El volumen de publicaciones evidencia una tendencia creciente y transversal en psicología, negocios y ciencias sociales. Originalidad/valor: este estudio representa la primera revisión bibliométrica sobre el grit en los negocios y ofrece un panorama global, así como rutas para investigaciones interdisciplinarias. Implicancias teóricas y prácticas: desde una perspectiva teórica, los resultados del estudio permiten conceptualizar al grit como una variable clave en el comportamiento organizacional, el liderazgo y la resiliencia corporativa. En el plano práctico, los hallazgos orientan a las empresas y a los gestores de talento para su incorporación en los procesos de selección, desarrollo y evaluación del desempeño, promoviendo culturas organizacionales basadas en el esfuerzo sostenido y el bienestar laboral.
