Editorial Ethics
Code of Ethics
The journal adheres to the Guidelines on Good Publication Practice of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), applying its principles to the responsibilities of editors, reviewers, and authors.
Access, Use, and Reuse Policies
The journal is open access. Creative Commons CC-BY licenses are applied to articles under the following conditions: i) Attribution: The author and original source must be referenced, ii) No Derivatives: It can be freely shared, but without modifying the content, iii) Non-commercial: It must not be used for profit.
Copyright
Under the CC-BY license, authors are free to reuse the published version of their article, including depositing it on research portals, personal websites, institutional repositories, etc.
Anti-Plagiarism Policy
In the first phase of the editorial process, manuscripts are subjected to a similarity check using the Turnitin system or another recognized verification tool. If evidence of plagiarism or duplicate publication is detected, the editor will contact the responsible author to request an explanation within a maximum of 10 days. Depending on this, the editor may inform the corresponding affiliated institution.
Declaration of conflict of interest
All authors must declare whether or not there is any financial, institutional, personal, or other conflict of interest that could influence the research or the interpretation of the results. If there is external funding, this information will be included in a footnote on the first page of the article.
Corrections and retractions
If relevant errors that do not invalidate the results are detected after publication, the journal will publish a correction or errata clearly linked to the original article. If the author discovers the error, they are obligated to inform the Editor as soon as possible. When serious flaws in the integrity of the research are identified—such as data fabrication or manipulation, substantial plagiarism, or duplicate publication—the article may be retracted, following COPE guidelines. The retraction will be clearly announced and will be permanently linked to the original article.
Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automated Tools
The use of generative AI tools and other automated systems must be explicitly declared by the authors in the manuscript, in the methods section, or in a separate note, in accordance with the Heredia Declaration and COPE recommendations. These tools will not be acknowledged as authors or listed as co-authors under any circumstances. Their use does not relieve the authors of full responsibility for the content, accuracy, and integrity of the results. Reviewers should not use AI to prepare review reports.
