Mindfulness en la educación superior: análisis bibliométrico de cien años de investigación y agenda para los próximos años

Los estudios bibliométricos sobre la producción científica en el campo del mindfulness o la atención plena son escasos y se limitan a ventanas temporales acotadas. Este trabajo presenta el primer análisis bibliométrico internacional de la producción científica con 4399 documentos sobre mindfulness en la educación superior indexada en Scopus, que cubre el periodo 1916-2021. Se utilizó VOSviewer para el análisis de redes de citación. Los resultados evidenciaron un crecimiento exponencial de la producción, con el 49,47 % de los documentos concentrados entre 2017 y 2022. Estados Unidos lidera la producción (43,32 %) y el idioma inglés domina el corpus (96,93 %). La revista Mindfulness concentra el 10,53 % de las publicaciones (Q1; SJR 1,509). Los artículos más citados fueron publicados entre 2003 y 2011, lo que revela que el crecimiento reciente no ha generado una segunda generación de trabajos fundacionales equivalente. El clúster temático dominante articula salud mental estudiantil (estrés, ansiedad, bienestar), mientras que áreas como tecnología educativa y bienestar docente registran expansión notable. Se identificaron brechas geográficas, metodológicas y lingüísticas que configuran la agenda de investigación para los próximos años, con prioridad en la adaptación transcultural de protocolos para el sur global.
