Editorial process

1. Peer review system

The journal employs a double-blind peer review system. In a first phase, the Editor-in-Chief, in coordination with the Editorial Committee, verifies the article's alignment with the journal's aims and scope and conducts a general assessment of the quality of its content. If the article passes this phase, it is sent to two external expert reviewers, who submit their assessment using the "Reviewer Report" form. If both reports are unfavourable, the article does not proceed to publication. If publication is recommended subject to revisions, the author must first address the comments; final acceptance remains subject to the approval of the Editorial Committee. In all cases, the author is informed of the decision.

2. Maximum publication period

The journal is committed to providing an initial response to a submission within a maximum of 4 weeks from the date of submission.

The average time between submission and publication of each article is 12 weeks from the date of receipt. This period may be extended due to a high volume of submissions to the journal.

3. Review and publication charges

The journal does not require authors to pay any amount for the review, processing, or publication of their articles (no article processing charges, APCs).

4. Double-Blind Peer Review

All articles undergo double-blind peer review prior to publication. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field and external to the editorial team. The Editor makes the final decision on the basis of these evaluations. The same process applies to special issues, where applicable.

5. Publication frequency

The journal is published biannually, covering the January–June and July–December periods.
