Constitutional aspects of succession law: contemporary reflections

Abstract

The succession law, in contemporaneity, presents many controversial issues that are the object of intense debate. Reflections on the constitutional aspects of inheritance law are currently at the center of attention in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic factor. Equality, human dignity, the right to inheritance, are some of the principles and rights guaranteed in the Constitution of the Federative Republic of Brazil, 1988. The effectiveness and efficiency of constitutional and civil law norms and principles, in the issue of inheritance law, as well as the discussion of testamentary formalism, are the main objectives to be studied in its general aspects, briefly in this article.
