Abstract

Many studies on the pass-through effect of the reference rate only provide results for aggregate indicators of interest rates. Consequently, the goal of this article is to assess the impact on each type of credit based on monthly data from the four largest banks in Peru for the period from January 2011 to December 2018. The article finds in particular that the reference interest rate has a causal relationship with mortgage, corporate and large company rates, but not with consumer and medium, small or micro-enterprise rates
