Abstract

The digital age has transformed the way personal information is collected, processed, and used in professional sports. This has generated benefits
—such as the optimization of athletic performance and the personalization of the fan experience— but also threats to rights such as privacy. Therefore, in accordance with Law 29733 of the Peruvian regulatory framework, the obligations and challenges of data bank owners and managers are examined, these include the management of informed consent and the security and processing of sensitive data. Finally, the need for an ethical, legal, and organizational balance is proposed, allowing technology to be leveraged without sacrificing people's trust or rights.
