Una introducción a la psicología económica: áreas, teorías y desafíos

Resumen

El propósito del siguiente texto es realizar una revisión de la psicología  económica como área interdisciplinar, en la cual convergen la economía y la psicología. Se delimita la conducta económica como el objeto de estudio, así como las características disciplinares y niveles de explicación científica. Además, se plantea un breve recorrido histórico por las principales figuras que aportaron significativamente a su desarrollo. Por otra parte, se describen algunas de las propuestas teóricas que tienen mayor auge en el área, unas ya conocidas, como la teoría de conducta planificada o la teoría de los dos sistemas, así como otras novedosas, entre ellas la socialización financiera o el paradigma de cursos de vida. Posteriormente, se establece la relación que podrían tener con áreas como el marketing y las políticas públicas, así como las diferencias con la economía conductual. Por último, se concluye con una serie de retos y recomendaciones para la investigación en psicología económica actualmente.
