Abstract

The social conflicts in our country are largely due to socio-environmental controversies linked to extractive activities such as mining. To avoid these conflicts and mitigate the great environmental impact in the region, the mining sector obliges the holders of the activity have environmental management instruments that guarantee a better and sustainable use of mining activity. This article deals with the instrument destined to the rehabilitation of the area disturbed by the extractive activity: The mine closure plan.
